Artist
Schnooglepuss, a six-year old Seal Lynx, has been painting since he was three. Most of his works appear to be studies of the natural environment or other animals with whom he shares his VÉrmlands property near Karlstad in Sweden.

Curatorial Notes
"The connection between this highly stippled work and its subject, the pig, is not immediately obvious until one sees the verifying photographs which accompany it. At once, the well delineated daubs, which become less spaced as they move upwards, are seen to represent the pig's many hoof prints which begin to crowd together around the blue trough, clearly suggesting a sense of urgency and greed." Sabine Hunt, exhibition catalog, 1995.

Cat Owner's comments: "Schnooglepuss likes to paint the other animals we have here. He has made some very good cow bottom pictures and also a hen without a head and three of a pig before it was killed for eating. He also enjoyed to eat the pig as well as to paint it. I do not think the human artist would eat what they paint, except perhaps it could be the fruit bowl ones might do it." T. Hamsen, Sweden.

Sent In By: Mr Tono Hamsen of Kristineham, Sweden.

Estimated Value: This painting on three fence panels is likely to reach $2,000 on the local market and up to $5,000 in Paris, New York or Tokyo. (MONPA).
