Artist
Tiger, a seven year old silver tabby, specialises in extended multi-layered works which are rarely iconographic. He began painting as a kitten following a fortuitous accident involving house paints and an escaped canary.

Curatorial Notes
"Tiger's dramatic bi-colored forms which feature heavily overlaid areas of influence offset by finer, more dispersed structures (paw prints), that seemingly emanate from them, are at once evocative of a "force" giving off its energy Ü sending out its emissaries to stalk the night. There is a clear sense of feline proselytizing here, though one which is uncharacteristically lacking in the usual subtlety we have come to associate with the works of the Fat Cat school." Rosemary Clinton, exhibition catalog, Birmingham, 1994.
