Pluck Pluck Goes The Duck, 1992.
Scented acrylic on colored card and wall.
95 x 110cm. Property of the artist.

Artist
Portnoy, a persian longhair, has been painting regulary for five years and to date has earned his owner over $30,000. Half of this money has gone towards the creation of a special two-storey garden studio where Portnoy can enjoy superior views and work without distractions.

Curatorial Notes
"...all the works in Portnoy's "Yellow Duck" series, especially his well known "Ducks Definitely Do" 1991, and "Do It With Ducks" 1992, are carefully torn and clawed in a manner which nicely points to the dichotomy between the cat's natural instinct to consume and the opposing feline appreciation of avian beauty.
