"I was invited to join a cat dancing class six months ago and it really was a bit of a revelation finding out how it is possible to communicate with cats on another level.

We went through the usual pre-dance energizing techniques like mirroring, remote stroking and visualization and they do work but I think it's good if you can explore some techniques of your own that will work especially well with your own cat.

I dance around with Muffin held way up above my head which she really seems to like. I don't know why this is, but she just relaxes completely when she's up there and begins to purr straight away.

After a while I can put her down and she'll rub all round my legs as I'm dancing, provided I do it with really slow graceful movements — just like a cat in fact."
